A figure capturing a patrol of the Police of the Czech Republic as it looked in 1992. The force had existed only a short time then and its uniform differed clearly from today's, which makes the theme a rewarding addition for scenes from the early 1990s. In 1:48 it is a small item that brings an anchor in time into a setting.
The year 1992 is decisive for the subject. It was the period when the force was still settling into its new form and when older and brand-new vehicles met on the roads. The figure therefore works best in a setting that shows this transition, beside a vehicle of the kind really used then, not beside a vehicle two decades younger.
A uniform of the 1990s rests on one pronounced tone and a few small accessories, so it matters to keep the surface clean. Avoid excessive shading, which would age the cloth needlessly; the figure is meant to look on duty, not worn out. Do the small areas with a brush with a short tip and spread the paint out on a palette beforehand.
The goods are sold for you to paint yourself and to add a base according to the scene you intend.
