An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet light truck with a payload of 1.5 tons (the GAZ-AA type, popularly called the polutorka) in 1:35 scale from MiniArt (Ukraine). The model is richly broken down, with a detailed chassis, engine and cargo bed, a photo-etched sheet and clear parts. The box also contains a set of extra cargo, so a lively scene can easily be created.
The Soviet 1.5 ton truck was based on a license-built American vehicle and became one of the most widespread utility vehicles of the Red Army. Its simple, robust and easily repaired design made it a natural choice for carrying materiel and men and as a chassis for the most varied bodies throughout the Second World War. It got the nickname polutorka from its payload.
Assemble and paint the engine, chassis and drivetrain before you complete the body and the cargo bed. Use liquid cement on the plastic and glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. After the base coat, apply a camouflage or single-color scheme, bring out the panel and rivet detail with a wash and complete the lower areas with dust and mud pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
