A resin detail accessory for models of Soviet fighter biplanes in 1:48 scale. According to the name the set is meant for three related types at once, the I-15, the I-15 bis and the I-153, so you will put it to use even when you have several machines from this family under way. It is not a kit of the aircraft; the set replaces the propeller of a plastic model and the rest of the build stays unchanged.
The family of biplanes from the design office of Nikolai Polikarpov was among the most numerous fighters in the world in the nineteen-thirties. The I-15 became known for its gull upper wing, the I-15 bis got a straight upper wing and a more powerful radial engine, and the I-153 Chaika brought the gull wing together with retractable landing gear, a combination which made it one of the most agile biplanes there ever were. The machines went through combat in Spain, at Khalkhin Gol, in the Winter War and in the first months of fighting on the Eastern Front, where against modern monoplanes they were already taking a beating.
