Hauler 1:48 Pz.38(t) Ausf.E/F grill set is a photo-etched brass set of engine screens for refining a model of the German Pz.Kpfw.38(t) light tank in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory, not a kit. Intended for the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Hauler aimed at the screens (grills) of the engine compartment of the German Pz.Kpfw.38(t) light tank in the Ausf.E/F versions in 1:48 scale. It is not a model in its own right but an accessory that replaces the coarse plastic screens with fine pierced brass parts. The contents follow the instructions supplied. The target kit is Tamiya.
The Pz.38(t) was originally a Czechoslovak light tank (LT vz. 38) that the Wehrmacht used in large numbers after 1939. The Ausf.E and Ausf.F versions were marked by thickened armor. The chassis of the tank became the basis for a whole range of tank destroyers and self-propelled guns.
Photo-etched screens markedly improve the look of the vents, because they are genuinely pierced and see-through. Separate the parts with a sharp knife, form them with a photo-etch bender and bond them with super glue. Degrease the brass before painting and apply a primer.
The set does not contain the model itself. It calls for the matching plastic kit and assembly materials, which are not included in the package.
