This is an add-on set of engine exhaust nozzles, not an aircraft model. The set from Reskit contains resin, or possibly 3D-printed, late type nozzles for the carrier-borne reconnaissance aircraft North American RA-5C Vigilante in 1:48 scale. It replaces the simplified plastic parts and brings fine detail to the exhaust end of the engines.
The RA-5C Vigilante was an American twin-engine carrier aircraft, originally developed as a heavy strike machine and later converted into a high-performance tactical reconnaissance aircraft for the US Navy. It was marked by high speed and great weight. Late aircraft differed in the form of the exhaust nozzles, which this set captures.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the inside of the nozzles in metallic and heat-tinted shades, and emphasize the petals with a dark wash and a light dry brush.
An add-on set. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
