Eduard 1:48 Republic P-47N Thunderbolt seatbelts STEEL is a photo-etched set of steel seat belts for detailing the cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit of the aircraft but a photo-etched accessory of its own, intended for improving the cockpit of a model of the American Republic P-47N Thunderbolt fighter in 1:48 scale. The set is made of thin steel sheet (the STEEL line) and the belts are color printed in advance, so there is no need to paint them.
The P-47N was the long-range version of the massive Thunderbolt, used at the end of the Second World War above all in the Pacific to escort bombers over great distances. Photo-etched steel belts are springier than brass ones and hold their shape better, so they can be given a natural curve over the edge of the seat and faithfully imitate the fabric straps and the metal buckles.
Carefully separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard support. Shape the folds with tweezers or a photo-etch bending tool. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) in a minimal amount to fix them; for the fine buckles PVA glue will also do. Degrease the surface of the seat before gluing.
It is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
