A masking set for the reconnaissance Phantom II in the RF-4B and RF-4C versions in 1:48 scale, in the form for the outer and the inner side.
Responsibility details are not available.
The RF-4B and RF-4C are the reconnaissance versions of the two-seat aircraft McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. They are recognized by the lengthened and differently shaped nose, into which photographic equipment fitted instead of radar. The RF-4B flew with the US Marine Corps, the RF-4C with the US Air Force, and both versions stayed in service for long decades, so a lot of interesting color schemes present themselves.
Masking elements for a model of the Phantom in the RF-4B and RF-4C versions in 1:48 scale. The qualifier in the name says that the set reckons with the outer and the inner side of the glazing. The particular kit it is prepared for and the exact extent is given in the manufacturer's instructions; with a two-seat cabin it is advisable to verify it, because the shapes of the glazing differ between individual kits.
First mask and spray the inner side, then set the part in place and go on from the outside. Wash the transparent parts beforehand in lukewarm water with dish soap and let them dry.
For a modeler who is building the reconnaissance Phantom in 1:48 scale and wants the framing of the cabin sharp from both sides. The package contains a masking set; a kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
