The set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard from the BRASSIN line holds resin replicas of the German SC 50 aircraft bombs from the period of the Second World War in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft but an accessory with armament to be hung under the fuselage or the wings of a model. The castings offer a fine detail of the body of the bomb as well as of the stabilizing surfaces.
The SC 50 was the standard German high-explosive fragmentation aircraft bomb of a weight of approximately fifty kilograms, used by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War. A number of bomber as well as fighter and ground-attack aircraft carried it, often in larger numbers on one carrier.
Wash the castings clean of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the bodies in the period shades of German munitions and fill them out with a fine patina.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
