A set of German SC 50 aerial bombs for adding to a model of a Second World War aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SC 50 designation belongs to a German aerial bomb in the fifty-kilogram weight class. It was the smallest of the high-explosive bombs routinely carried by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War; fighter-bombers carried them, as did trainers and liaison machines, and they were often hung several at a time on a shared rack. That is exactly why they suit models of machines on which a single large bomb would look out of place.
The set holds the bombs as finished replacement parts to fit onto a model. Judge the number of pieces, the presence of racks or hangers and the match to individual aircraft types from the contents of the package and from documentation for the machine you are building. The size of the bomb follows the scale of the model you want to use it on, so check the scale of the set against the figure on the packaging before you order.
Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down so that the seating surface stays flat. Make the joints with super glue; polystyrene cement will not hold on these parts. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and use a primer. Hang the bombs symmetrically and in the vertical plane; a bomb seated crooked shows on a finished model at first glance.
What is supplied is the set of bombs. The aircraft model, paints, decals and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
