The real subject

The Sea King is a twin-engine helicopter of the medium weight class that came from Sikorsky and was also built under license in Great Britain. Its identifying marks are the boat-shaped bottom of the fuselage and the side floats, thanks to which the machine can survive a touchdown on water. The main rotor has five blades, and both the blades and the tail boom fold so that the helicopter fits into a hangar aboard a ship. Sea Kings served for action against submarines, for rescue and for transport with a number of states and lasted decades in service.

Building and painting tips

Dry-fit the parts first and only then work on the kit. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and carefully sand off the rest. Use super glue for the joints; ordinary cement for polystyrene may not hold reliably. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will hold poorly.
