A resin detail set from Aires for a more faithful rendition of the exhaust nozzles of the British-French SEPECAT Jaguar attack aircraft in the GR.1 and GR.1a versions in 1:48 scale. The set replaces the nozzles from the box with finely cast parts with realistic texture inside and out. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory for more experienced modelers.

The real subject

The SEPECAT Jaguar was a single-seat tactical attack aircraft powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour engines. The GR.1 and GR.1a versions served with the Royal Air Force. On models the exhaust nozzles are a clearly visible area, and this set refines it markedly.

Building tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks carefully and glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The metallic look of the nozzles comes out after a coat of metallic paint and a fine patina.
