This 3D printed resin SJU-17 ejection seat from the manufacturer Art Scale is intended for detailing the cockpit of F/A-18E Super Hornet models in 1:48 scale. In the package there is one seat, in the variant with molded safety belts directly as part of the structure of the part. Modern 3D printing ensures exceptional crispness and fineness of detail. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail set which replaces the seat from the box.
The Martin-Baker SJU-17 (NACES) seat is used in the American carrier-borne fighters of the Hornet and Super Hornet line. A faithful replica of the seat with its belts is among the elements that most influence the realism of an open cockpit.
Clean the part of the remains of the 3D printing supports and tidy it up gently. Glue with super glue. The basis is the dark color of the seat; pick out the belts and the handles of the ejection system in different shades, and small placards can be added with a decal. The details will stand out with a fine wash and drybrushing.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
