The pair of SJU-17 ejection seats in 1:48 scale is prepared for the kit of the EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft from the brand Meng. The count matches the two-seat cockpit, so the set covers both positions at once. This version does not contain the straps, but the manufacturer also makes a rendition that has them.
The Growler is derived from the two-seat version of the Super Hornet naval fighter and in the US Navy it took over the electronic warfare role from the retired Prowler. It carries antennas on the wingtips and jammer pods under the wings, and its crew is a pilot in front and a systems operator behind. The task of the machine is to suppress hostile radars and silence their transmitters so that the strike wave can get through safely.
The seats of present-day carrier aircraft are dark gray to black, with the handles clearly told apart and with colored placards that can be suggested with a decal or a fine brush. After painting, a light dry brush helps to pull out the edges and the seams. Wash the resin before painting and give it a coat of primer.
The package holds the seats for the cockpit, not the kit of the whole aircraft.
