This is not an airplane model but a small resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in the Brassin range. It replaces the plastic cockpit entry door with a finely cast resin equivalent with sharper relief, finer edges and more faithful internal ribbing than a production plastic part can manage.
The set contains the resin door in two versions, with the crowbar and without it, so you choose the variant according to the aircraft you are building. Decals are included as well. The accessory is intended for Spitfire Mk.VIII and Mk.IX models in 1:48 scale.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand the resin with respiratory protection. Before varnishing it pays to apply a primer for better paint adhesion.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
