This is a resin accessory in 1:48 scale from the Czech brand Quickboost (part of the Aires family), not a model in its own right. The set contains the air conditioning intake for the Su-17M4 Fitter-K fighter-bomber and replaces the corresponding part of the base kit with a more accurate and finer casting.
The small but conspicuous air intake on the fuselage is a detail that often lacks crispness and the right shape in injection-molded plastic. The Quickboost resin part has clean edges and a faithful profile, so once fitted it raises the accuracy of the model at an exposed point of the airframe.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and dry-fit it; adjust it by sanding if necessary, with respiratory protection. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Prime before painting and then blend the shade with the surrounding airframe.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin casting. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
