The set covers the interior of the two-seat Su-34 combat aircraft in 1:48 scale — the instrument panels, the side consoles and the belts of the ejection seats. The print is on decal paper with a layered structure and is applied by soaking, not by gluing. This is not an aircraft kit but a cockpit accessory. The sheet is prepared for the parts of the Kitty Hawk kit.
The Su-34 has an arrangement untypical among combat aircraft: both seats are side by side, not one behind the other. The cockpit is therefore markedly wider than on an ordinary fighter and the set has to deal with two full stations and with a shared central section with controls between them. The instrument panels are not purely analog — they combine screen displays with several standby round gauges, so part of the area is made up of dark rectangular frames instead of dials. That is exactly what a print is good for, because displays are hard to paint by hand. The side consoles are long and densely fitted. The belts belong to ejection seats and are more substantial than on propeller machines. The Black Edition designation distinguishes this set from the manufacturer's basic form.
Paint the cockpit and let it dry, leaving the areas under the decals smooth. Soak the parts in lukewarm water, position them and press them down with a soft brush. With a wide cockpit it is a good idea to work in sections and let each one set. Decal softener by drops, and sand the engraved detail in the plastic flat beforehand. Do the work before the fuselage is closed up.
