A resin set of the jet engine exhaust nozzle for a plastic kit of the Soviet fighter-bomber Sukhoi Su-17 (the export Su-22) in 1:48 scale from Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the nozzle from the original kit. The set is intended for Su-17/Su-22 kits in this scale. The cast parts faithfully capture the inner and outer geometry of the nozzle and the petals, which injection-molded plastic usually cannot render in such detail.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Spray the nozzle in metallic shades, bring out the heat-stressed areas with blue and brown toning and add a light wash.
This is not a model but a detail accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
