Triple rows of positive rivets in 1:48 in black from Quinta Studio serve to add and restore riveting on the surface of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains strips with raised, so-called positive rivets in three parallel rows, graded for 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or a part for a particular type but a universal surface detail. The black version reads well over a light surface and suits darker finishes, where the detail is meant to stay restrained.
Riveting molded into plastic is often shallow in 1:48 scale and simply disappears from the surface after the fuselage joint is sanded or after filling. Triple rows make it possible to replace the molded detail with even riveting at a constant pitch, which shows up after spraying and a light emphasis exactly where it should. They also serve well where the kit has no riveting at all and the real subject carries it.
First sand the surface smooth and degrease it. Take the rows off with a sharp scalpel, carry them with tweezers and mark the direction beforehand with a fine line or set it out with masking tape. Work in short sections so that the row does not wander, and on curved surfaces let the material seat without pressure. Once in place, go over the surface with clear coat, which fixes the detail and prepares it for paint and for the subsequent emphasis.
This is an add-on for building a model, not a stand-alone model. Paints, glue and clear coats are not included in the package.
