1:48 UH-60A LööKplus is an extended package from Eduard whose core is a three-dimensionally printed instrument panel for the cockpit of the Black Hawk helicopter.
Responsibility details are not available.
At Eduard the designation LööK is carried by a printed instrument panel that is seated in color directly into the cockpit and replaces the flat plastic part from the kit. The suffix plus means that the manufacturer has packed further accessories for the same machine together with the panel, so the package deals with the most conspicuous place of the pilot's compartment all at once. Seat belts are usually included as well. The basic plastic model has to be owned.
The Black Hawk entered the service of the US Army at the end of the seventies as a replacement for the famous Iroquois. The A version was the first production one: a pair of General Electric T700 turboshaft engines, a four-blade main rotor and a wide cabin for a whole infantry squad. The low silhouette and the durable structure proved themselves in landing troops under fire. In greater numbers the machine first showed itself in the operation on Grenada, then in Panama and in the region of the Persian Gulf.
The original panel from the kit is cut off or sanded away so that the new one comes out to the correct depth. Try it dry for as long as it takes for the part to sit down without pressure. The resin and printed parts are joined with cyanoacrylate glue and are washed free of mold release residue before painting.
