Eduard 1:48 W-3A Sokol masks are accurately cut kabuki stencils for painting the glazing and other vision panels of a model of the PZL W-3A Sokol helicopter cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masking stencils from Eduard; it is not a kit. It is intended for plastic models of the twin-engine PZL W-3A Sokol helicopter in 1:48 scale. The stencils in fine kabuki (washi) tape are pre-cut into segments that follow the large glazed cabin and the other clear parts. They make quick and accurate painting of the frames possible.
The PZL W-3 Sokol, meaning falcon, is a Polish twin-engine utility helicopter of the medium category. It made its first flight in the late 1970s and entered series production in the middle of the 1980s. It is used in search and rescue, transport, police and military roles with many operators.
Peel the segment off, lay it on the glazing and press it down along the frames. Spray the color of the frames first, and the top shade once that has dried. The masks come off cleanly, with no adhesive residue. For a soft transition use an airbrush.
The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
