The Well-being set in 1:48 scale is a set of scenic accessories for dioramas and display scenes. It is not a model kit but small equipment added to a finished model, a building or figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs among the scenic accessories for dioramas and display scenes. It is not a kit of an aircraft or a vehicle — it is stand-alone equipment for a scene, added to a composition beside the main model. The English name well-being set refers to equipment connected with rest and comfort.
The 1:48 scale is the home scale for aircraft dioramas and for part of the military and civilian range, so the set will come into its own in a scene by a hangar, in the back area of an airfield, in the interior of a house and in a street scene. Small things of this kind play a role in a composition that the model alone cannot fill: they give a scene scale, fill the empty areas of the base and lead the viewer's eye to the main model. Because these are stand-alone objects, they are not tied to a particular kit and can be combined with any model in the same scale.
First rid the parts of any sprue gate remnants and sand the face left after the cut with fine abrasive paper. Degrease the surface before painting and lay down a thin coat of base — it evens the ground out and the paint holds on it better. The shades themselves go on well in acrylics, with a brush as well as with an airbrush. The result is moved on by a dark wash, which runs into the recesses and brings out the shape, and by a dry brush in a lighter shade on the edges. With small parts cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) works well, and plastic parts will also take thin cement for plastic. Work in a well-ventilated room.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other materials are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
