This universal photo-etched set contains fine parts for creating realistic bracing wires and control fittings on aircraft models in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory usable across many models, above all biplanes and older types, where the controls were run on wire cables.
The photo-etched parts represent turnbuckles, the connecting fittings of wire bracing, and control horns, the small levers on the rudders and ailerons to which the cables are attached. Thanks to them the bracing looks faithful and correctly sized for the scale.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard backing. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) in a small amount. The turnbuckles are threaded onto a taut filament (fishing line or stretched sprue), which stands in for the cable itself. Degrease them before painting.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. The model, the cables, glue and paints are not included in the package.
