The P-47D Thunderbolt is a rugged American single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber of the Second World War, powered by a strong radial engine. Besides the US Army Air Forces, the Thunderbolt also served with British units, above all in the Asia-Pacific area, where it carried British national insignia and specific theater markings.
