An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czechoslovak training and aerobatic aircraft Zlin Z-526 Trener Master in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard, a Czech aircraft from a Czech manufacturer. It is a ProfiPACK edition, which adds colored photo-etched parts and masking templates to the plastic. The box offers decals for several color schemes of Czech and foreign machines. The canopy glazing is clear and finely framed, and the cockpit of the two-seat trainer is worked out in detail.
The Zlin Trener family is a legend of Czechoslovak aviation: all-metal single-engine two-seat aircraft that became the backbone of training and made their name in aerobatics as well. The Z-526 Master version was among the peaks of the family and its machines collected successes at international aerobatic competitions. Elegant shapes and a clearly readable silhouette made the Zlin an icon known to every admirer of sport flying.
Use thin cement for plastic and dry-fit the parts. Glue the colored photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. The masks supplied make painting the glazing easier. Spray a primer before painting, lay a gloss coat under the decals and unify the whole with a matte one. Glossy sport finishes come out best on a smoothly sanded and well varnished surface.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
