An injection-molded plastic kit of the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.8 RSR circuit racer in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi. It is a classic kit of a sports racing car with a finely rendered interior, chassis and engine. The box contains plastic parts, rubber tires, decals and instructions for assembly and painting, so you have a solid basis for a display model straight out of the box.
The Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 is the racing version of the German 911 sports car of the 964 generation from the early 1990s. It was created for customer and GT motorsport and differs from the road version in its strongly flared fenders, a large fixed rear wing, a stripped interior with a roll cage and a tuned 3.8 liter air-cooled flat-six. The car became a popular machine in the endurance and sprint races of its day.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. It pays to spray the body with a well smoothed primer and to paint it with an airbrush; with glossy racing finishes a final clear coat and polishing make a difference. Finish and paint the interior and the engine bay before you close up the body. Apply the sponsor decals onto a smooth gloss surface and settle them with a decal softener so that they conform perfectly to the shapes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
