Responsibility details are not available.
The Musashi was the second battleship of the Yamato class and, together with her sister ship, the largest battleship ever to put to sea. The main armament consisted of nine guns of 46 cm caliber in three triple turrets. The size of the hull matched that, as did the massive armor meant to let the ship survive fire from weapons just as heavy. She entered service in 1942 and spent most of her career as a flagship and a reserve for the main forces, but she never came to the gunnery duel she had been built for. She was sunk by American carrier aircraft in the autumn of 1944 in the fighting for the Philippines.
A plastic model of a warship in the most widespread collectors' scale, 1:700. The subject measured over two hundred and sixty meters, so the finished model comes out at about thirty-seven centimeters in length. The year in the name refers to the form of the ship at the time she entered service. The list of parts and the color forms are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Work from the hull and the deck: once the superstructure, the gun turrets and the boats are seated on them, the model is harder to handle. Separate the finest parts, that is the masts and the barrels, with a sharp blade and sand the excess material down; they break easily with cutters. Spray the hull before you fit the small deck equipment, and apply the paint in thin coats so that the fine surface detail is not lost. The rigging can be added with fine thread, which need not be part of the package.
For collectors of the Japanese war fleet and for modelers of large ships in a small scale. The kit is supplied unassembled; paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
