Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the second battleship of the Yamato class, captured in her state of 1944. The designation of the variant in the name of the item refers to a Japanese operation of the close of the same year and at the same time to the version with a full hull, in which the underwater part of the vessel is shaped as well.
The Musashi was among the largest battleships ever to put to sea. Nine guns of 460 millimeters caliber in three triple turrets gave these vessels the heaviest salvo of their day, and yet the main armament was used against surface targets only rarely. In 1944 the ship had heavily reinforced antiaircraft defense. The end of the Musashi came in October of the same year in the Sibuyan Sea after repeated air attacks.
A long hull is sensitive to sagging, so after gluing let it cure thoroughly on a flat board. The wooden areas of the deck come out well when you set them off against the gray steel. The barrels of the large guns deserve extra time; remove any burr at the muzzle with a sharp drill. Paint the antiaircraft positions before fitting them, because once they are glued on the brush will not reach them.
You receive the model in a knocked-down state and without paints. Glues, varnishes and bases are acquired separately, unless stated otherwise.
