Fujimi 1:700 Battleship Musashi reduces the heaviest Japanese battleship and the name gives etched components with it.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Japanese maker Fujimi has treated the battleship Musashi in the usual collectors' format for warships. According to the name, etched components are enclosed with the plastic parts, and with them railings, ladders and the fine structures of the superstructures are usually replaced.
The Musashi was the second completed unit of the heaviest class of battleships ever built. She carried main gun armament of 460 millimeters caliber, that is the largest that ever appeared in series on a surface unit, and her armor corresponded to the ideas of the day about a decisive gunnery battle. That battle, however, never came. The ship perished in October 1944 in the Sibuyan Sea after an onslaught by carrier aviation lasting several hours, which showed vividly how the center of gravity of naval war had shifted by that time.
The large gun turrets are the dominant feature of the model, so take care over their seating and over an identical barrel elevation. The side antiaircraft positions are easier to paint before installation. The hull deserves a smooth transition between the underwater and the above-water part; a sharp edge looks unnatural. Bend the photo-etch with feeling, because thin sections ripple easily.
You receive unassembled parts without a finish; to finish it you will need your own glue and shades.
