A plastic kit of the German Sd.Kfz. 123 light reconnaissance tank in 1:35 scale. The model is assembled and painted; paints and glue are not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
Under the designation Sd.Kfz. 123 there is a German light reconnaissance tank of the Second World War, known by the name Luchs. It was based on the Panzer II light tank, but it was given a reworked running gear with larger wheels, a wider hull and equipment for reconnaissance duty including a powerful radio set. The armament consisted of a 20 mm automatic cannon and a coaxial machine gun, and the crew of four men. It was built in only a small series and reached the units in the closing part of the war.
This is a plastic kit in 1:35 scale intended to be glued and painted. 1:35 scale is the most widespread for ground hardware, so figures, accessories and material for a scene are easy to find for the model. The number of parts, the color variants and the recommended procedure are in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
The running gear deserves the most attention. Glue the wheels and the suspension on a flat surface and keep checking that the model stands without rocking and that the wheels are in one plane; a crooked running gear shows later more than any mistake on the hull. Glue the small parts on the hull, such as the tool holders and the loops, only after the base shade has been sprayed. Apply the paint in thin coats, lighten the middle of the large areas slightly and bring out the seams and the corners with a dark wash. Follow the instructions for the color scheme and the markings.
The package contains a plastic kit. Paints, glue, filler and accessory sets are not included, unless stated otherwise.
