1:35 Floor - Old Bricks (190x130mm) is a printed sheet of a weathered brick floor to lay under a scene or a vignette.
Responsibility details are not available.
A thin sheet with quality printing shows an old brick pavement with distinct joints and bricks of uneven darkness. The 190x130 mm format is given in the name; converted at the chosen reduction it corresponds to an area of roughly six and a half by four and a half meters, that is the floor of a small workshop, a passageway or a yard behind a house.
Fired brick was laid where durability mattered and looks did not: in boiler rooms, stables, farm outbuildings, coal stores and the rear wings of town houses. It is exactly the irregularity of the bond and the worn paths that give away that a place was lived in. Add a few missing bricks to the scene and pour grit between them, and the eye will no longer tell where the print ends and the three-dimensional material begins.
First lay the sheet on dry and mark the outline of the base in pencil. Glue it with PVA glue spread in a thin continuous layer and push the air out from the middle to the edges so that no bubble forms. Cut with a new blade along a steel ruler. Go over the visible edge of the paper with paint in the tone of the joints, otherwise the white cut will stand out. Even the tone out with a light spray from a distance or with a glaze.
