A figure of a Polish aircraft mechanic with a wz.33 machine gun in 1:32 scale is a single ground-crew figure, intended to complete a finished model or a scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of a member of the ground crew from the period of the Second World War in the large 1:32 scale, completed by an aircraft machine gun of the wz.33 type. It is neither a vehicle nor a finished scene but one human figure, meant to bring the space around a completed machine to life and to give it a sense of scale.
The 7.92 mm wz.33 machine gun was a Polish design and armed, among others, the PZL P.11c fighters with which the Polish Air Force entered the fighting in September 1939. The scene is therefore historically rich: the guns were set into their mounts in the wings or the fuselage before takeoff and were taken out after landing to be cleaned and have their ammunition replenished. It is exactly such a moment that the figure captures: a man in his gear carrying the weapon toward the machine.
1:32 scale is large enough for work with shadows to show in the result. A thin, continuous base works well, then flesh built up from a darker tone toward a lighter one, and cloth shaded with thin glazes. Bring out the edges of the sleeves and the folds with an almost dry brush. The metal of the weapon comes out best over a dark base with a light polish of pencil graphite.
The package holds only the figure with its gear; neither an aircraft nor a base belongs to it. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and paints and glue are obtained separately.
