Big Ed is a collection that brings several separate Eduard accessory sets together in one package. For models of the De Havilland Chipmunk T.20 in 1:48 scale it contains a photo-etched set for the cockpit and the exterior, steel (STEEL) seat belts and pre-cut painting masks. The collection is intended to raise the level of detail of a base plastic model markedly.
The photo-etch replaces or completes the plastic parts with finer items (the instrument panel, levers, details of the interior and the surface). The steel belts give a realistic five-point restraint for the seat and the masks make a clean painting of the glazing frames possible. Everything is matched for one particular model.
This is a set of accessories, not the model itself. The model, paints and glue are not included.
