The Nissan Silvia RS Hardtop in 1:24 scale is a plastic kit of the sports coupe of the S110 series of the beginning of the 1980s, issued by the Japanese company Fujimi.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-door Nissan Silvia coupe with the body type designation S110 in the RS sports grade. The kit comes from the Japanese company Fujimi and belongs to its car range in 1:24 scale. According to the manufacturer the package includes an aluminum tube for the exhaust tip, a sheet of decals and assembly instructions. The model is built in the classic way, that is, by gluing and painting.
The Silvia of the S110 series was built from the end of the 1970s until 1983 and on export markets was sold under other trade names as well. The RS sports grade was the top of the range: it was powered by the FJ20E four-cylinder, that is, a two-liter with a twin-cam valvetrain in the head and four valves per cylinder, which was a modern solution in Japanese production of the time. The angular body with large windows and flat sides is a typical example of Japanese design of the turn of the 1970s and 1980s. The S110 cars also made their mark in circuit racing in Japan and to this day have a firm place among collectors.
The angular surfaces of the body forgive less than rounded shapes, so thorough sanding and a filler primer pay off. Period two-tone schemes are well handled with masking tape with a sharp edge, and the important thing is to let the lower coat cure properly. Shorten the aluminum tube of the exhaust tip with a sharp knife or a file and fit it dry, and only then glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. You can manage the window frames and the trim with polished silver paint or narrow bare-metal foil.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
