Responsibility details are not available.
A resin collector figure 75 mm tall portraying the Austrian duke Leopold V of the House of Babenberg at the time of the siege of Acre in 1191. The set is supplied as a casting for assembly, cleaning up and hand painting. The large 75 mm format comes into its own on the armor, the heraldry and the portrait face.
Leopold V of Babenberg was an Austrian duke who took part in the Third Crusade and in the fighting at the port city of Acre in the Holy Land in 1191. The figure matches the equipment of a highborn crusader of the late 12th century: mail armor, a helmet, a surcoat and a shield with heraldic devices. The man is also tied to the legend of the origin of the Austrian colors.
Wash the parts clean of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), fill the gaps and sand them down with respiratory protection. After the primer coat, build the paints up in layers, bring the metal of the armor to life with a wash and draw the heraldic areas of the surcoat out carefully. A combination of acrylics and oils suits the skin.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
