Crusader knight, First Crusade 1096 is a collector resin figure 75 mm tall from PANZER ART, intended for assembly and painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin collector figure 75 mm tall depicting a European crusader knight from the period of the First Crusade in the late 11th century. The set is supplied as a resin casting intended for assembly, cleaning up and hand painting. The larger 75 mm size lets the detail of the armor, the drape of the surcoat and the face come into their own, so the figure is a rewarding subject for modelers who want to devote themselves to quality painting.
The First Crusade was proclaimed in 1095 and over the following years it led armed pilgrims from western Europe all the way to the Holy Land. A typical knight of this period wore a long mail hauberk, a helmet with a nasal, a kite shield and, over the armor, a surcoat with a cross. It is precisely this iconography of the turn of the 11th and 12th centuries that defines the figure.
First wash the parts clean of mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and fill any gaps. Apply a quality primer before painting. Metallic shades with a dark wash for shading suit mail armor, while fabrics are brought to life by highlighting and glazing. Do the sanding of resin with respiratory protection.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
