Art Scale 1:48 Nakajima Sakae 12 engine is a highly detailed 3D-printed resin replica of the Nakajima Sakae 12 radial engine for models of the Japanese A6M Zero fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory in 1:48 scale, not a kit. The set is 3D printed in resin at a very high resolution and faithfully reproduces the Nakajima Sakae 12 radial engine as it was installed in the early versions of the A6M2 Zero fighter. 3D printing makes it possible to capture fine detail that is difficult to produce by ordinary casting. The manufacturer is Art Scale.
The Nakajima Sakae 12 was an air-cooled radial engine that powered the early versions of the Japanese A6M Zero carrier fighter. A faithfully rendered engine is particularly effective on a build with the engine bay open or the cowling panels removed.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and sand the marks away using respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The engine comes into its own once painted in metallic shades with the cylinders and the ignition harness gently picked out. Working with 3D-printed resin suits more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
