1:48 F-15E Seymour Johnson 4FW 75th Anniversary Camouflage Paint Masks Set covers the commemorative finish of the Strike Eagle for the 75th anniversary of the 4th Fighter Wing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Three sheets of masks reproduce the memorial finish that one F-15E was given for the seventy-fifth anniversary of the 4th Fighter Wing. Across the dark base runs a light gray eagle head and feathers, on the wings are the dates 1942 and 2017 and on the vertical tail surfaces the numbers of the machine. US Air Force stars for the upper and lower surface of the wing and for the sides of the nose are enclosed as well.
The unit derives its tradition from the volunteer Eagle Squadrons, in which Americans served in the Royal Air Force before the entry of the United States into the war. It was formally established in 1942, hence the eagle in the badge and hence also the date on the wing. The home base is Seymour Johnson in North Carolina; the anniversary machine showed itself in this coloring at air shows in 2017 and 2018.
The commemorative coloring is applied starting from the dark base. Only after it has dried do the masks and the light elements come in turn, which are sprayed in several thin layers, so that the dark base does not show through under them and at the same time no step arises at the edge.
In the package you will find exclusively masks; a kit and varnishes are not enclosed.
