A set of masks for painting a model of the Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk.XI in 1:72 scale. The elements are cut to the shape of the part, so while covering it you need neither cut tape nor guess at the curves, which is hardest of all in a small scale.
The Spitfire PR Mk.XI was an unarmed reconnaissance machine. Instead of cannons it carried photographic equipment in the fuselage and it had extra fuel in the leading edge of the wing as well, so as to reach far beyond enemy territory. Its recognition feature is the deeper fairing under the nose, which houses a larger oil tank. Reconnaissance Spitfires flew high, relied on speed and altitude and as a rule wore a uniform blue finish with no camouflage patches.
For builders of Spitfires in 1:72 scale who do not want to lose an evening taping up the glazing, and for anyone who wants precisely bounded areas on a single-color finish; on a smooth blue surface every unevenness shows. The set is cut for one particular kit, so compare it with yours before buying.
The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
