An American paratrooper in 1:35 scale: 1:35 101st Airborne Soldier 14 from the BlackSnake Model brand, one resin figure.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fourteenth figure of an extensive line devoted to American paratroopers. The manufacturer lists it simply as a soldier, with no particular role in the squad given, so you decide its part in the scene yourself. The package holds one printed resin figure with no paint.
The division was formed in August 1942 and its badge with an eagle's head became one of the best-known symbols of the American army. On the night of the sixth of June 1944 it dropped over the Cotentin Peninsula, fought for Carentan, took part in the autumn operation in the Netherlands and in December went down in history with the defense of Bastogne in the Ardennes. It is precisely that wide span of service that makes its soldiers a rewarding subject, because one and the same figure suits a summer and a winter scene alike.
Olive green cloth has a markedly variable tone in photographs, so feel free to reach for two close shades and let them merge. Make the leather parts of the webbing a warmer brown and the canvas straps more faded. The helmet looks believable when a touch of fine sand is mixed into the paint, giving the typical coarser surface.
The item calls for the usual preparation of a casting and then painting to your own choice.
