The set brings four rims, that is, two for the front and two for the rear axle, because the real car has a different size at the front and at the rear. Decalcas makes them by 3D printing from resin and has captured on them the characteristic star pattern around the center nut, the recesses between the spokes and the reinforcing ribs. It is not a kit of the car and not a complete wheel: the set does not contain tires, and the rims are designed for use with the tires from an ordinary kit in 1:24 scale.
The GT3 RS version of the 992 generation is the sharpest track variant of the road-going Porsche 911. Its aerodynamics with a large rear wing, the brake cooling and the weight saving all come at the expense of comfort, and the wheels are among the parts where the most weight is saved. A forged aluminum rim is the standard fitment, while the lightened magnesium variant is offered separately.
Cut the rims off the print supports with a sharp scalpel and level the mating surfaces with a fine file so that the wheel sits square. The print is fine, so a thick coat of primer would clog the detail: paint in a thin coat. A silver or graphite shade comes out well when you draw a dark wash into the recesses between the spokes. They are bonded with super glue, that is, with cyanoacrylate.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
