Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet MiG-17F jet fighter in 1:48 scale, the Deluxe Edition from AMMO by Mig Jimenez. It is a new exclusive mold supplemented with photo-etched parts, instrument panels, glazing masks, a 3D-printed ejection seat and further extras. The decals offer up to sixteen marking options.
The MiG-17 (Fresco in the NATO code) was a first-generation Soviet jet fighter that followed on from the MiG-15. The MiG-17F version received an engine with an afterburner. It flew in many countries and was also built under license as the Polish Lim-5 and the Chinese Shenyang J-5. It proved itself well in many conflicts of the Cold War.
Glue with liquid cement for plastic; glue the photo-etched parts and the 3D-printed seat with cyanoacrylate glue. The movable flaps, ailerons and airbrakes can be modeled in a deflected position. Mask the glazing with the masks supplied. A natural metal or painted finish is best handled with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
