The masking stencils 1:32 Fw 190 A-7 masks for crosses from the Omask brand. They make it possible to spray the national insignia onto a model instead of applying decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Omask brand is cut to the dimensions and the placement of the German national insignia of the A-7 version in 1:32 scale. The stencils are applied to camouflage that has already been sprayed, the color of the insignia is laid over them, and once they are lifted off a sharp marking remains without a carrier film. The aircraft model is not part of the package.
The A-7 version came into being at the turn of 1943 and 1944 and was an intermediate step that was built only briefly before the far more numerous A-8 replaced it. The main novelty was the exchange of the 7.92 mm fuselage machine guns for the heavier thirteen millimeter MG 131, which called for a conspicuous bulge in the cover ahead of the cockpit. The wing armament was made up of a pair of cannons, so the firepower of the machine grew markedly. It was precisely on these machines that the pilots of the fighter formations flew against the daylight bomber formations at the end of the war.
The base must be perfectly dry and preferably overcoated with a gloss layer, so that the paint does not run under the edge. Press the stencil down from the center toward the edges, spray square on and in thin coats. The German cross is made up of several shades, so proceed from the lighter component to the darker one and lift the stencil off as soon as possible after the paint has set, while it is still flexible.
