Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of water-slide decals in 1:48 scale intended for a model of the four-engine Avro Lancaster B Mk.I bomber. It is printed by the Polish brand Techmod, which has long concentrated on markings for aircraft with Polish crews. The sheet covers machines of No. 300 Bomber Squadron of the RAF operating from Faldingworth airfield at the close of the war.
The Polish No. 300 Squadron was formed in Great Britain in July 1940 and carried the honorary name Ziemi Mazowieckiej. It passed in turn through the Fairey Battle and the Vickers Wellington, and re-equipped with Lancasters in the spring of 1944. From Faldingworth it flew night raids against industry in the Ruhr and against transport hubs in France, and it took part in the final operations over Germany as well. The crews were almost exclusively Polish, so alongside the British national insignia the machines also carried symbols from home.
The surface has to be smooth and glossy, otherwise silvering will show under the carrier film. Cut the motif out close to the edge, dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water and let it rest on the paper until the film releases. On riveted surfaces a decal softener helps, and once dry the whole area is given a matte clear coat.
It is a separate printed sheet with markings; neither plastic parts nor paints belong with it.
