A decal sheet in 1:72 scale with markings of the Hungarian MiG-29B and MiG-29UB in the later rendition carried under the NATO designation.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-29 is a twin-engine fighter aircraft with a pair of vertical tail surfaces and with engine nacelles set far apart. The Hungarian Air Force had it in the single-seat MiG-29B version as well as in the two-seat MiG-29UB trainer version, in which there is a second position for an instructor behind the pilot's cockpit and the canopy is therefore markedly longer. The main shapes are identical on both versions; they differ mainly in the front part of the fuselage.
The sheet in 1:72 scale carries markings of Hungarian machines in the later rendition carried under the NATO designation, that is, in a form different from the original color scheme, which the other sheet in the same range is aimed at. It is tied to the color scheme, not to a particular kit, so it can be used on a model from any manufacturer in the same scale, provided it matches in shape. The manufacturer's instructions show the placement of the individual elements on the model.
The markings of this range combine both the dry and the wet transfer procedure, so before working, check in the manufacturer's instructions which of them the elements are applied by. The rest is common: the elements belong on a smooth gloss base, because on a matte surface air stays under the edge and a light border remains around the element. The procedure is therefore gloss varnish, seating the element and, once dry, a covering varnish depending on how the surface of the model is to look.
For builders of MiG-29 models in 1:72 scale who want a Hungarian machine in the later color scheme. This is a separate accessory: the model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
