An imitation bolt head on a washer, 1 mm in diameter, the largest of the three sizes in this range of accessories.
Responsibility details are not available.
An element imitating a bolt head seated on a washer, one millimeter in diameter. It is the largest of the three sizes in the range, so it aims at coarser fastenings: the mounting of armor plates, hatch hinges, the feet of girders, gearbox flanges and anywhere a bolt is meant to be visible at first glance. In 1:35 scale it corresponds to a diameter of 35 mm on the real machine, and in 1:48 scale to roughly 48 mm.
The larger the element, the more it strikes the eye when it sits crooked or out of line. With this size it therefore pays to drill a shallow recess and to fit it home, so that the element beds down on the whole of its washer. If the fastening comes onto a curved surface, level the seating point with a few strokes of a fine file; on a curve the washer otherwise beds down only on its edge and breaks off at the first touch once the glue has dried. It also holds true that a row of bolts should look regular on a model: work out the spacings in advance and fit them all at once, not one by one wherever the hand happens to fall.
For builders of military and civilian vehicles in the larger scales and for reworking where the original detail has disappeared during sanding. The model, paints, glue and tools are not included in the box, unless stated otherwise.
