A plastic kit of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5c Zero fighter, type 52 Hei, in 1:48, aimed at the version carried under the designation Jinrai Squadron.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was the main Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, famous for its long range and its agility. The A6M5c version, in Japanese type 52 Hei, belongs to the late series: it was given heavier armament and better protection for the pilot, which however added weight and took something away from the lightness of the early machines. It was powered by a radial engine.
The plastic kit in 1:48 is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The release is aimed at the version carried under the designation Jinrai Squadron, after which the item is named. The build goes in the usual sequence: first the cockpit, then closing the fuselage, the wings and finally the landing gear and the propeller.
Dry-fit the parts before gluing and only then reach for glue for plastic models. Fill and sand the seams on the fuselage and the leading edges, otherwise you will see them under the paint. Mask the canopy before spraying, not after the paint has dried. Apply the decals over a gloss surface and unify the finished model with a matte or semi-matte varnish.
The set is intended for modelers with basic experience of building aircraft and for collectors of Japanese machines; 1:48 is big enough for work on the details of the cockpit to be worth it. Unless stated otherwise, the paints, glue and putty are not included in the package.
