Twelve hours on a broken-up airfield

The twelve-hour race at Sebring is run over the concrete slabs of a former air base and counts as the hardest test of a chassis on the North American continent. The joints between the slabs shake a car so much that every weakness of the construction shows up in the course of a single day. The 2023 running belonged in its top category to the American marque.

A prototype of a new generation

The V-Series.R came about under rules that joined a single chassis from an Italian supplier with the maker's own combustion engine and with a hybrid part shared by the whole field. An eight-cylinder with five and a half liters of displacement gave the American marque an unmistakable voice, which set it apart from the turbocharged competition at once. The body, with its pronounced vertical elements in the lights, refers to the marque's production cars.

The Whelen Engineering colors have long been carried by one of the most successful American endurance crews. The miniature captures the paintwork, the race number and the partner logos in the form the car had on that winning weekend. Nothing is finished off or stuck on afterwards.
