An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov representing the famous French supersonic combat aircraft Dassault Mirage IIIE with its characteristic delta wing. The plastic tooling comes from RV Aircraft, whose tools KP took over. The release usually also holds masks, 3D-printed wheels and an exhaust nozzle, which raise the level of detail. It is a rewarding kit of an iconic jet aircraft suited to intermediate modelers.
The Dassault Mirage IIIE was the strike-fighter version of the legendary Mirage III family, a single-engine supersonic aircraft with a tailless delta wing. The IIIE version concentrated on ground attack and all-weather use and had revised avionics and a longer fuselage than the pure fighter versions. The Mirage III became one of the most successful Western combat aircraft of the 1960s and 1970s, served in France and with a number of other air forces around the world and proved itself in several conflicts.
Separate the 3D-printed wheels and the nozzle carefully and bond them with super glue. Dry-fit the delta wing and the fuselage, then fill and sand the seams. Apply primer and paint with an airbrush; French and export schemes tend to come in sand, green and gray camouflage. Apply the decals over a gloss coat and tie the surface together with a final coat. Mask the canopy and fit it once the framing is painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
