A separate modeling paint from the IONIC line by AMMO of Mig Jimenez. The name of the shade is Thanatos Grey; the word Thanatos is a fanciful name within the line, and what settles the matter is the second part of the name, gray. Compare the exact tone against the manufacturer's color chart before painting a whole surface, because the result is shifted both by what lies underneath and by the thickness of the coat.
Gray tones are among the most heavily used paints on a modeler's bench. They cover the roads and concrete surfaces of dioramas, the metal surfaces of vehicles, the gear of figures and the plastic parts of civilian machines. Gray also works as a damper for bright shades: mix it into a vivid color and the color loses its harshness and moves closer to a scale impression.
Try the gray on a spare part next to the shade you already have on the model. Neighboring tones influence one another, and the same gray looks cooler next to a warm color than it does in the bottle.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and use the thinner intended for this line; the thinning ratio differs according to whether you work with a brush or an airbrush. Stir the paint to a uniform consistency before work. Thin coats with a pause for drying hold better than one heavy coat and do not flood the fine relief. Wash and degrease the surface; on smooth plastic a primer proves its worth.
The package contains one shade. The thinner, primer, varnish, brushes and the model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
