The tenth volume of the Real to Replica Red Series, devoted to the Jaguar attack aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Jaguar came out of a joint British-French program as a tactical attack aircraft for strikes on ground targets. It has a high-mounted wing, a pair of turbofan engines and a strikingly tall main landing gear, which gives it room for stores under the fuselage. It was built in a single-seat combat form as well as in a two-seat version with a lengthened nose. Besides the two countries that developed it, it served in further air forces as well, and in some of them it stayed in service considerably longer than originally reckoned.
This is the tenth part of the numbered Red Series, devoted entirely to one type. That format makes particular sense with an aircraft like the Jaguar: the type went through several upgrades during its service, its sensors, armament and finishes all changed, and without an overview it is easy to mix elements from two different periods into one model. The number in the name distinguishes the volumes within the series, and the individual parts can be bought separately.
It will be appreciated by modelers preparing to build a Jaguar who want to settle in advance which form of the machine they are building, and by readers with an interest in Cold War combat aviation. It serves as a reference when choosing a kit, decals and accessory sets, and equally well as reading beside a model under construction.
The publication alone is supplied. Kits, decals, paints and accessory sets are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
